The Clondalkin Drug Task Force provides various funding opportunities under two main headings:

  • Treatment & Rehabilitation Funding
  • Prevention Funding

Treatment & Rehab (T2)

Objective; Applications for grant aid to voluntary and community based organisations in the Clondalkin area for the costs of additional once off supports associated with treatment and rehabilitation programmes and interventions for adults.

Criteria:

  • Support will take the form of a grant for the costs of additional once off supports associated with treatment and rehabilitation programmes and interventions for over 18’s
  • Funding will be provided for supports such as needle exchange, Fetac training modules, brief interventions  and activity based programmes. 
  • All sections of this form should be completed fully.
  • Decisions about each application will be based solely on the information provided on the form.
  • This funding is only available to community and voluntary organisations working with recovering drug users in the  Clondalkin area.
  • Funding must be drawn down and programmes and interventions must be implemented by the end of December 2011.
  • Applicants will be required to submit a financial report and a brief outline of the outcomes when the programme/ intervention have been completed.
  • Funding is specifically for organisations in the Clondalkin Community and targeted at those in rehabilitation re substance use.

 

Treatment & Rehabilitation Counselling Fund (T3)

Applications for grant aid to voluntary and community based organisations in the clondalkin area for the costs associated with treatment and rehabilitation programmes and interventions for adults.

Objective: To provide assessment, counselling and referral services locally.

  • Support will take the form of a grant for the costs of providing access to counselling associated with treatment and rehabilitation programmes and interventions for adults.
  • Funding for counselling will be provided on the basis that appropriate counselling services are not currently available or accessible in the area.
  • Funding will only be provided to organisations who comply with the CDTF criteria for sessional counsellors.
  • Applicants will be required to submit a financial report and progress report in December 2011 detailing the number of individuals supported, the number of hours of counselling provided through the grant before further applications are accepted.
  • All sections of this form should be completed fully.
  • Decisions about each application will be based solely on the information provided on the form.
  • This funding is only available to community and voluntary organisations working with recovering drug users in the  Clondalkin area.

 

Prevention (P1 & P2)

Prevention (P1) - Tertiary (Targeted) Prevention Fund

Application for grant aid for the costs of additional once off supports associated with working with those who have already started using drugs / alcohol / who are likely vulnerable to engage in problematic drug / alcohol use or who need support to prevent relapse.

Criteria:

  • Support will take the form of a grant, for the costs of additional once off supports associated with drug prevention and education programmes and interventions for under 18’s and adults.
  • The proposed programme must be targeted at groups who have already started using drugs/alcohol/ who are likely or vulnerable to engage in problematic drug/alcohol use or need support to prevent relapse.
  • The proposed programme should aim to reduce the effect of risk factors present in these sub groups by building on strengths and developing resilience and protective factors.
  • Funding must be drawn down in 2011 and programmes and interventions must be implemented by the end of December 2011
  • Applicants will be required to submit an income and expenditure report and progress report at the end of December 2011.
  • Funding for counselling will be provided on the basis that appropriate counselling services are not currently available or accessible in the area.
  • Where funding is for the provision of counselling it will only be provided to organisations who comply with the CDTF criteria for sessional counsellors.
  • Applicants will be required to submit a financial report and progress report detailing the number of individuals supported the number of hours of counselling provided through the grant at the end of December 2011.
  • This fund is only available to organisations in the Clondalkin Drugs Task Force area.

Prevention (P2) - Selected Secondary Prevention

Application for grant aid for the costs of additional once off supports associated with working with those with increased rish such as early school leavers, young offenders and children of drug and alcohol dependent parents.

Criteria:

  • Support will take the form of a grant, for the costs of additional once off supports associated with drug prevention and education programmes and interventions for  under 18’s and adults.
  • The proposed programme must be aimed at groups increased risk such as early school leavers, young offenders and children of drug and / or alcohol dependent parents.
  • The proposed programme should aim to reduce the effect of risk factors present in these sub groups by building on strengths and developing resilience and protective factors.
  • Funding must be drawn down in 2011 and programmes and interventions must be implemented by the end of December 2011
  • Applicants will be required to submit an income and expenditure report and progress report at the end of December 2011.
  • Funding for counselling will be provided on the basis that appropriate counselling services are not currently available or accessible in the area.

Targeted Family Support Prevention Fund

Applications for grant aid for the costs of once off supports associated with the provision of Parenting Programmes to recovering drug users in the Clondalkin Community.

 

Criteria:

  • The proposed programme must be targeted at groups that fit the criteria “Targeted Family Support Prevention Fund Criteria”.
  • The proposed programme should aim to reduce the effect of risk factors to the family member by building on strengths, developing resilience, developing skills and meaningful alternatives to drug use.
  • Funding must be drawn down in 2011with programmes and interventions implemented and evaluated by December 2011.
  • Applicants will be required to submit an evaluation of the programme, income & expenditure report at the end of the programme no later than December 2011.
  • This fund is only available to organisations in the Clondalkin Drugs Task Force Area.
  • All sections of this form must be completed.
  • Decisions re each application will be based solely on the information provided.
